Champion Metal and Glass – Finalist for Business Achievement Award
The Hauppauge Industrial Association (HIA) in Hauppauge, New York has named Champion Metal and Glass, Inc., of Hauppauge, a finalist for the 2014 Business Achievement Award.
Each year, the HIA reviews nominations of many new, emerging and venerable companies, evaluating business success, financial strength, company culture and community involvement. There are three levels of awards – Rookie company of the year, Small Business of the year and Large company of the year. Each finalist has met basic criteria and is chosen by the awards committee to compete for the top honor in its category.
Names a finalist in the Large Business Category, Champion Metal and Glass is a Long Island family-owned company with over 20 years of growth in the glass fabrication and installation industry. In its 40,000-sq.-ft. building on Motor Parkway, the company houses over 100 employees, comprised of planners, designers, fabricators and installers. CEO Ali Ghahremani, is joined by his wife and General Manager, Cindy, and their two children in the day-to-day operation of the company.
“We are honored to be in the company of so many successful Long Island businesses,” said Champion’s CEO, Ali Ghahremani, “The HIA’s selection of our company as a finalist in this prestigious competition is very gratifying to all of us.”
Champion has been named 12 times as one of the Top 50 Glazers in the US by USGlass Magazine. The company’s recent track record includes such major construction projects as the World Trade Center Transportation Hub, the New Yankee Stadium, New York Presbyterian Hospital and Citibank to name a few.
The award winners will be announced later this summer. Finalists and category winners will be honored at a special presentation luncheon on September 16, 2014 at the Crest Hollow Country Club.
